In our project "Körperbilder"
we concentrated on the topic "handicap".
Handicaps can arise
during the birth or after the birth. We distinguish between mental and
physical handicaps.
- We worked on the
mental handicap "Down- Syndrom". The "Down- Syndrom" is a chromosome
disturbance, in which the chromosome 21 triples.
- We worked on the
physical handicaps blindness, deafness and paralysis.
The integration of
handicapped people in our community is very important. There special day-
care and flatsharing communities for handicapped people. There is a special
sports event for them, too.
