Auch die folgende Formel zeigt die Rolle der Interaktion von Sprachsystemen und Mehrsprachigkeitsfaktor bei der Entwicklung mehrsprachiger Kompetenz:
LS1 + LS2 + LS3 + LSn + CLIN + M = MP
LS: language system
CLIN: cross-linguistic interaction
M: M(ultilingualism)-factor
MP: multilingual proficiency
“Multilingual proficiency” is defined as a “cumulative measure of psycholinguistic systems in contact (LS1 + LS2 + LS3 etc.), their interaction as expressed in cross-linguistic interaction and the influence that the development of a multilingual system shows on the learner and the learning process.”
